Coffee Tasting & Cupping at the Sweet Shop

Please join us for a Coffee Tasting & Cupping event at the Sweet Shop on Saturday, February 6th, at 10:00am! This will be lots of fun and educational! We are thrilled to have our coffee supplier Verve Coffee Roasters hosting their coffees, serving some blends by french press as well as presenting a cupping.

You may ask but what is a "cupping"?

Coffee cupping was develeoped to learn and observe the different aromas and tastes of coffee and if you get really good at it you can often predict the coffee's origin. A little different than wine tasting, lots more slurping and sniffing and if you haven't been to a cupping before, this is a great opportunity to have some fun and learn a bit more about coffee.

got milk? We do at the Sweet Shop!

If you ever find yourself in a bind and forgot to pick up the milk, ran out of eggs, need an extra stick of butter for baking or just don't feel like going all the way to the supermarket to buy just one thing?

No worries, the Sweet Shop now has Dairy to Go, so just stop by on your way home and pick up what you need along with a sweet treat for yourself. We carry milk, eggs and butter all made by Clover Organic. We will be adding some cheese to our selection soon.

Omelet anyone?

The Tropics are at the Sweet Shop

We have island fever at the Sweet Shop, we know it is the middle of January and it is raining buckets outside, but we still like to dream about a nice warm tropical island to escape to!

Just pretend the puddles outside are the beautiful ocean and swim or float on over to the Sweet Shop for our new frozen yogurt flavor...Island Banana! Add a little chocolate to it and it may just remind you of a banana split on a hot summer day. Since our thoughts have been about miles of sandy beach, palm trees & sun this week, we decided to bring our favorite tart yogurt back - Peach-Mango! If you didn't try this one last year, don't miss out - it is pure goodness!

A Romance is Brewing at the Sweet Shop

Just add a few hearts, lots of chocolate, a little pink & red here and there, sprinkles of sweetness and you have the perfect recipe for Valentines Day!

Come check out our some of our favorite items...Pink Hot Chocolate (it really is pink!), Rice Crispy Pops covered with Chocolate & Heart Confetti, Chocolate Foil wrapped Hearts, Gummy Red & White Hearts, Heart Nonpareils, Cinnamon Bears, Divine White Chocolate with Strawberries and so much more! Quench your thirst at the Sweet Shop

We are introducing some new drinks at the Sweet Shop this week...

First is for those that are looking for some hydration and something healthy, we now offer Vita Coco It has more than 15 times the electrolytes found in most sports drinks, it is natural pure coconut water made from green coconuts and has more potassium than two bananas but don't tell the monkeys that.

We also have a new water, "hint" water, if you haven't tried this yet, be sure to check out our variety of flavors. It is simply water with a just a hint of natural flavor, no sugar...our favorite flavor this week is the Honeydew-Hibiscus, makes us feel like we are at the spa or on vacation!

Lastly is our homemade Italian Sodas, we had so many requests from our sweet customers and now we are ready for you! Our flavors are Raspberry, Mango, Passionfruit Italian Sodas and our signature soda is a Peaches & Cream Italian Cremosa. What is the difference between a regular Italian Soda and a Cremosa? With the Cremosa, we had just a tad of half & half and nice dollop of whipped cream to make it just that much sweeter!

Sweet deals in January at the Sweet Shop!

The New Year has brought us some Sweet Deals at the Sweet Shop for the month of January….We are going to continue with our Wednesday all day "$1 Hot Chocolate Special", warm up with our hot chocolate toppled with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles – pure happiness!

On Saturdays, visit the Sweet Shop on your bike, scooter, skateboard or in any way other then by car and receive $1 off our assortment of bulk candy! Just fill your bag with candy and our team will automatically deduct a dollar of your price.

And saving the best for last, Sundays are free yogurt day - purchase any size frozen yogurt and get another one of equal size for free! That's our sweetest deal ever! Enjoy these special days at the Sweet Shop until January 31st, 2010.
